• † At the same time that Ryuu Masaki was announced as top star, Asumi Rio was announced as "demi-top star" of Moon Troupe. The two otokoyaku shared lead roles for two Grand Theater performances until Asumi Rio transferred to Flower Troupe in March 2013.

She confesses that she has been her Asumi Rio persona for so long that she hardly knows what her true self is like anymore. In her quiet moments she sometimes feels like a failure and has trouble trying to erase those thoughts. She does struggle with transitioning over to female roles and at times feels dejected when she can't get it right.
• According to a Vogue Japan 2020 interview In regards to gender expression: Asumi says that perhaps she has been obsessed about gender expression her whole life. She likes the flexibility to explore different looks, she could wear a skirt, or pants, or cut her hair short like during Zuka time. She hopes fans and audience members would look forward to whatever look she comes up with next.
